The sounds food make as we cook and eat; the smells,

the textures, the presentation and the taste are all unique

and intriguing in Japanese food.

I am currently living in China and am learning a lot about

the similarities and differences between Japan, China

and Korea. Particularly, I have found that there are similar

words in Japanese, Chinese and Korean for a style of

noodle.  In Japanese we have “ramen” style noodles,

which are similar to “raamien” in Chinese, and “ramyon”

in Korean.
